Catfish Soup

Catfish Soup

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 cups water
  • dash salt
  • 5 onions, chopped
  • 5 big potatoes, diced
  • white pepper
  • 3 big tomatoes
  • 600 gram catfish fillets, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

PREPARATION:

Bring water and salt to boil. Reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes. Remove and discard bones. If you don't have fish bones, use fish stock. To stock, add onions, potatoes, tomatoes, and white pepper to liquid.

Bring to boil, then simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes. Add cubed catfish. Simmer for a few minutes, or until fish flakes. Add lemon juice .

Serves 4 to 6.
